This tour starts in Reykjavik and heads directly on the south coast highway passing Hveragerdi town and Selfoss town and by Eyjafjallajokull, and Katla volcano. Then entering the charming village of Vik at the ocean side with spectacular scenery, lava fields and a black sandy desert all the way to the magnificent Glacier Lagoon where you can take a boat ride among the multi-shaped icebergs. Then you have a choice between an Amphibian Boat (vehicle capable for operation on both water and land) or a Zodiac (boat ride not offered during winter)
The journey continues on to Skaftafell National Park were a stop is made at the visitor center and take a short hike (optional) to Svartifoss waterfall cascading down stacks of basalt columns. Then visit the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur, stopping to admire beautiful waterfalls along the way. Making way back towards Reykjavik you might be able to catch a glimpse of the eternal kiss of the Icelandic trolls along the way before visit the serene, beautiful 100 meter deep Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon and more… Truly something you'll never forget!
